Veterinary conference supported by UVMF and AEMV held in Kyiv

The development of veterinary education is the development of veterinary medicine in Ukraine!

Thanks to our partners, in particular the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, we are able to implement educational projects, support conferences and share knowledge with Ukrainian veterinarians. Such events are the foundation for creating a strong community of professionals who are able to provide quality care to veterinary patients in the most difficult cases.

Thus, with the support of the Ukrainian Veterinary Medicine Foundation and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, a two-day UEV Concordia conference dedicated to the care and treatment of exotic animals was held in Kyiv.

This event is a real milestone in the field of veterinary medicine, as attention to the health of exotic pets is becoming increasingly important. Care and treatment of exotic animals require highly specialised knowledge and skills. That is why the development of postgraduate education in this area is key to improving the level of veterinary care in Ukraine.

During the conference, such issues as bird anaesthesiology, reptile digestive tract diseases, the use of antibiotics in the practice of an exotologist, the basics of ornithological examination, otitis media in rabbits, differential diagnosis of neurological diseases of rodents, and others were raised. The veterinarians also reviewed clinical cases of surgical interventions in rodents, rabbits and ferrets.

The focused and inspired participants listened to every word of the speakers with great interest and it was incredible! We sincerely thank the Board and all AEMV members for their trust and contribution to the development of Ukrainian veterinary medicine.

Together we are laying the foundation for creating new opportunities for professional growth of Ukrainian veterinarians and improving the lives of our furry and feathered friends.
