The “S-shelters” section of the UVMF BASED program is designed for animal shelters in need of veterinary assistance. The program fully compensates for the costs of vaccination, sterilization, microchipping, and parasite control for animals in shelters. Additionally, it provides shelters with food provisions for animals and facilitates their evacuation from war-affected areas.
These measures are essential for population control, protecting animals from infections, and preventing potential human infections. Thanks to the program, not only dogs and cats in shelters but also hoofed animals from zoos such as goats, llamas, horses, deer, etc., have been vaccinated.
