Through the BASED program, the Foundation covers all areas of the veterinary industry in Ukraine:
This year UVMF managed to open the first charitable veterinary clinics in Ukraine: in Zaporizhzhia and Irpin!
Two vehicles were also purchased to provide free treatment and veterinary services to animals in the most remote corners of different regions of Ukraine.
The Mobile Veterinary Clinic currently operates in Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Nikopol. Thanks to this, thousands of animals can receive much-needed help, from surgery to vaccination and sterilization.
In addition, the Foundation has launched and is implementing the project “Feeding Ukraine’s Animals Together”:
Also, a large part of UVMF’s activities is aimed at supporting and assisting Ukrainian veterinarians.
Very symbolically, on the Day of Veterinary Medicine, the Foundation handed over an SUV to the frontline, which was purchased for our colleague, combat medic Oleh Sokhanevych.
Another important area of the Foundation’s work is providing affordable and high-quality postgraduate education for veterinarians.
Two semesters of the Ukrainian School of Veterinary Medicine, a number of forums, and a congress were held! And now the next one is underway – the autumn training phase for veterinarians.
